Dermot Hall - Drums
Dermot Hall is a bit of a traveller really. He has been around the world a few times at least with various jobs he has held and has bought the T shirt (judging by the photo, he's also visited Mr-T), all the while accompanied by a drum kit. For a long while the kit was a limited addition Tama Superstar in Royal Blue now retired to the loft (one in existence). More recently, a seven piece DW/Pacific kit with Paiste and Zildijan cymbals.
Musically Dermot has been inspired by an array of styles and drummers alike. Early exposure to heavy rock with bands like Groundhogs, Free and Ten Years After would be massively influential. Later moving in to funk and jazz fusion - Spiro Gyro, Tower of Power, Crusaders, AWB and Steely Dan are prevalent. Then The Police's Stuart Copeland was on the scene. Enough said...
He still loves playing and still loves learning…
